OVERVIEW

The Childcare Assistant Director supports the Director in managing the daily operations of a childcare center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves supervising staff, implementing curriculum, maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate(CDA)
credential may be acceptable with relevant experience.
- State-specific director’s certification or licensing credentials, as required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education setting, including supervisory or leadership roles.
-Experience managing staff, budgets, and daily operations in a childcare or similar environment.
- Knowledge and Skills-Thorough understanding of state and federal childcare licensing regulations.
-Knowledge of early childhood education principles, curriculum development, and child development best practices.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage staff, schedules, and facility operations effectively.
-Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs.
-18+-Be ableto pass a background check and drug test
