The Director of a childcare facility is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education while maintaining compliance with licensing and safety standards. This leadership role includes managing staff, enrollment, budgets, and fostering positive relationships with families and the community.
-Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field(preferred).
-Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a Child
-DevelopmentAssociate (CDA) credential may be acceptable with relevant experience.
-State-specific director’s certification or licensing credentials, as required.-CurrentCPR and First Aid certification.
-Minimumof 3-5 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education setting, including supervisory or leadership roles.
-Experience managing staff, budgets, and daily operations in a childcare or similar environment.
- Knowledge and Skills-Thorough understanding of state and federal childcare licensing regulations.
-Knowledge of early childhood education principles, curriculum development, and child development best practices.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage staff, schedules, and facility operations effectively.
-Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs.
